Music composition and sound design for Trip to the Moon Films and director Max Grapperhaus, bringing this year’s Queer & Pride film to life for City of Amsterdam!
With the film, Max wants to present Queer & Pride Amsterdam in a sensitive and serious way, uncovering a side of the city that’s omnipresent though not always visible. “We want people to feel it’s always there by tickling their senses throughout the city.”
Musically, I aimed to create a counterpoint to the playful animations, subtly underlining the voiceover and adding dimension to the film. We avoided too literal sounds to stay rooted in a more magical world and focus on the voice.
