Music composition and sound design for Leger des Heils. I composed and wrote a song for the new Leger des Heils campaign, focusing on the theme of combating loneliness. It was a pleasure to collaborate with Irene Schrader on the vocals and Yanna Pelser on the viola.
The sense of loneliness is reflected in the instrumentation, starting with a solo guitar, leaving ample room for the sound design to highlight the repetitive actions of dining alone. As the music progresses, it becomes more lively with the addition of steel guitar and viola parts, capturing the excitement of attending a social event. Finally, the chorus opens up, evoking a warm feeling of joy and connection.
The new campaign for the Dutch arm of the Salvation Army highlights the importance of community spaces in tackling loneliness.
